McVitie's Asda 'Treat your family with a £10k cash prize'
- By taking part in this promotion all participants will be deemed to have accepted and be bound by these terms and conditions.
- The prize draw is open to residents of England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland aged 18 or over excluding employees and their immediate families of Asda, United Biscuits (UK) Limited trading as Pladis, Hayes Park, Hayes End Road, Hayes, Middlesex UB4 8EE (the “Promoter”), any company affiliated with the organisation, their agents or any other persons professionally connected with the draw.
- To enter, purchase any pack of McVitie’s biscuits or cake products from a participating Asda store. Go online to www.mcvities.co.uk and enter your full name, mobile number and email address to be entered into the prize draw. Entries or claims not received, incomplete, illegible or delayed will not be accepted.
- Purchase necessary except for Northern Ireland (see clause 7). Internet access, mobile number and email address required. The winner only will be notified. Please retain your original Asda itemised till receipt as this will be required to validate a winning claim.
- The opening date and time for receipt of entries is 00:01 on the 25th February 2021 and the closing date and time for receipt of entries is 23:59 on 24th March 2021.
- Maximum one entry per mobile number and email address per day and a maximum of three entries per mobile number and email address throughout the promotional period. Anyone trying to circumvent this condition by using alternative details will be disqualified. No bulk, consumer group or third-party entries will be accepted.
- No Purchase Necessary (“NPN”) in Northern Ireland. For an equal chance to win the prize, send your name, email address, postal address in NI and mobile number in an envelope to 7037A McVitie’s Asda ‘Win £10K’ NPN, PO Box 906, Chilton, Aylesbury, HP22 9HR to arrive by the Closing Date. Late entries will be disqualified. One entry per envelope, per person, per day, and a maximum of three over the duration of the promotion. The Promoter will not accept any NPN entry requests after 24/03/2021. Illegible entries will be disregarded. On receipt of an NPN request, an entry into the Promotion will be made on the NPN entrant’s behalf and given a fair and equal chance of winning. Winner only will be notified.
- Prize: There is one prize of £10,000 available to be won in the form of a BACS transfer or cheque.
- The prize must be accepted as offered by the named winner. There is no alternative prize, in whole or part. The prize is not transferable. The decisions of the Promoter are final in relation to the promotion.
- The winner will be drawn at random via an automated computerised program under the supervision of an independent adjudicator from all valid entries received by the closing date on the 26th March 2021. The winner only, will be notified by phone to the mobile number entered on registration no later than 1st April 2021. Prize must be claimed within 7 days of the initial notification. All reasonable effort will be made to contact the winner; however, if the prize is not claimed within 7 days a re-draw will take place.
- The prize will be issued within 14 days of the winner’s claim.
- BACS payments will be made electronically and should the winner opt to receive their cash in this manner will be required to provide their UK bank account details including name displayed on their account, account number and sort code. It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure these details are correct as the BACS transfer will not be reissued. Payment will be made within 14 days of claiming.
- Should the winner prefer their prize in the form of a cheque, they will be required to provide the name displayed on their bank account and a valid UK address. It is the responsibility of the winner to ensure the correct name spelling is provided as cheques will not be reissued. Cheques will be valid for 6 months from date of issue. The cheque will be posted out by Royal Mail 2nd Class within 14 days of claiming.
- Entrants’ personal data will be used solely for the purpose of administering the promotion.
- Entrants must enter the Promotion using their legal name. The Promoter will verify the eligibility of prize winners. The Promoter will require such information that it considers reasonably necessary for this purpose and a Prize may be withheld unless and until the Promoter is satisfied with the verification.
- In the event of unforeseen circumstances, the promoter reserves the right to replace entire prizes or prize components with prizes of equal or greater value. This includes, as an example, a COVID-19 outbreak, which may lead to a prize needing to be changed or rearranged.
- The prize winner may be invited to participate in publicity, including their names and photographs being used for promotional purposes and/or reasonable requests to take part in the Promoter’s publicity.
- Proof of sending an entry shall not constitute proof of receipt. No responsibility is accepted for entries that are lost, misdirected, late, damaged or illegible, nor for any associated costs.
- Entrants acknowledge that when a third party asks for confirmation of a winner of a competition a promoter is required to provide the name of that winner and the county that he or she lives in. Any entrant may object to their information being made available in this way or may request that the amount of information made available be reduced, by contacting the Promoter. In these circumstances the entrant acknowledges that the Promoter may nevertheless disclose such information in full to the Advertising Standards Authority if required to do so.
- The winner’s surname and county may be requested by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope to: 7037A ASDA McVitie’s 10K Winner List, PO Box 906, Chilton, Aylesbury, HP22 9HR and will be available for a period of 4 weeks from 01/04/2021.
- The promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever, except for death or personal injury, arising out of the administration of prize draws, or out of the winner’s or any third party’s enjoyment of the prizes.
- Prizes are awarded at the promoter's discretion and no prizes will be awarded as a result of improper actions by or on behalf of any entrant.
- The promotion is governed by the laws of England and will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
